Feeling a bit more normal
I got my hair cut last night and coloured it - bye bye grey. Sure, you aren't supposed to colour your hair when you're pregnant, but this didn't have any ammonia in it (which is what they are worried about, according to Telehealth) and it was just horrible looking before, I couldn't stand it anymore.

Sounds fabulous! I'd really like to get my highlights re-done, but I'm a bit worried. If they are ammonia-less, should it be okay?
Are you growing your hair or keeping it short?
I'm trying to grow it out, so that I can throw it in a pony-tail easily when the babe is here.
I called Telehealth and asked about it, and they said they are only worried about the ammonia, they said without it, it's fine. I think alot of women stay away from it, but I'm pretty 'laid back' about most things with this pregnancy (like the glass of wine I had last month!) so I wasn't too worried.
I was letting it grow out for that exact reason, then it got too long and annoying (and I look HORRIBLE with long hair, makes my face look long and icky) so I got it cut last night. But in somewhat of a bob (with the back much shorter than the front) so it will hopefully grow out nicely if I don't get around to getting it cut when the baby's here.
If you can wear long hair, I'd definitely let it grow for the pony tail factor :)
I heard that you are only supposed to avoid hair dye the first trimester.
